After navigating many postponements last spring, I was absolutely thrilled when Simone and Jake told me they were going to go ahead with an Ipswich backyard wedding in 2020, and push the big celebration to the future. They were my first “Covid wedding.”
Weddings in 2020 looked a little different. Fewer guests, more distance, masks and hand sanitizer. But I can tell you that the emotion was the same. You only need to look at Simone and Jake’s connection under the chuppah, hugs with their moms and grandma (their pod), and their reactions to the blessings and toasts delivered over zoom. The joy was real. And it fed my soul. Thank you Simone and Jake for sharing your joy with me.
