When I first talked with Lauren and Dan about their April Lyman Estate wedding, they told me they wanted something elegant, low-key and fun. Their vision was a free-flowing celebration, more like a cocktail party, with less of a focus on the two of them. They were inspired by “the best parts of weddings we’ve been to,” which for Lauren and Dan meant enjoying time together with their families and friends.
This sweet and laid back couple met living on the same floor at the University of Vermont, and told me how their relationship feels easy. And it was something I could see in how they held hands and their ready smiles and laughs when together. But throughout the day we also heard how they don’t take this ease for granted; Lauren and Dan deeply respect, care for and encourage each other – all things to make a marriage strong and successful.
