Alisa and James met at MIT, where they were both professors of literature. They were friends for eight years, but only started dating after a mutual friend suggested they take their relationship to the next level. “Best advice ever!” in the words of Alisa. This Cambridge couple wanted to celebrate their home city in their engagement session. We met up at One Kendall Square, near The Blue Room where they had their first date, and used the wonderful brick and architecture to create a set of candid and authentic engagement portraits. We finished the session at West Bridge restaurant, where we shared a wide-ranging conversation about travel, books, spiritual practices and more over delicious craft cocktails.
