During the welcome toast given by Esther’s parents, they looked out at the sea of faces celebrating with them, and with tears in their eyes thanked the guests for the many kindnesses done on behalf of Esther and Jake over the years. You see, with the years Esther spent training for the Olympics (she was on the women’s eight crew team that won gold in London), and Jake’s military service, they’ve both made a lot of sacrifices over the years and haven’t always been able to spend as much time with family and friends as they would like. So Jake and Esther really wanted their wedding to be an occasion to come together, have fun, and make memories with their guests.
Jake grew up on Cape Cod, and it’s a wonderful spot for a destination wedding. They said their vows in the quaint Union Chapel in Hyannis Port. Their reception was at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, on Hyannis’ inner harbor. It was a lovely setting, especially with the clear tent that allowed all to enjoy the beautiful September evening. While guests sat down to a traditional clam bake for dinner, we snuck away for a few minutes at dusk to make some portraits near the harbor and at the colorful Hyannis Artists Shanties. As darkness settled above, guests packed the dance floor under the glowing string lights.

Love all these images! Especially the one of the kid sleeping in the pew. Priceless! I saw there was a clear glass top tent! I have always wondered how those work with OCF!
Thanks Brooke! I thought the clear topped tent would be harder to light, but it was really quite similar to a white tent, but maybe 1/3 more power on the bounce flash and a normal amount of power for the OCF.
What a beautiful wedding!! I love the images by the water and with the twinkle lights! Beautiful work!
This Cape Cod Maritime Museum wedding is stunning!! The photographs taken by the water are gorgeous. I also adore the photographs with the twinkle lights in the background. This couple must be thrilled with these beautiful images. Amazing work!!
These are all beautiful! I love that you included the moon and the star shots. It’s the little things :)
