Tracy and Erik live in Cambridge and are both pursuing PhDs in biology. They met on OK Cupid and enjoy going to yoga, exploring Boston, cooking together and in Tracy’s words “spend a lot of time just being nerds.” Based on our time together, wandering around the MIT campus and along the Charles River, my guess is that they also do a lot of laughing. In their years together, they’ve traveled to Switzerland, California, Iceland and Japan, and this adventurous spirit came out when I asked “do you want to -” and was interrupted with an immediate “yes!” before even articulating my idea. They didn’t hesitate in climbing up on a narrow four-foot-high ledge so we could get them with the Prudential Center in the background.
Erik proposed last year with a series of clues around their apartment, eventually leading to him down on one knee. From there, he whisked Tracy away for a night in Boston, and then another night camping. Talk about good planning skills! Now they’re planning a wedding for next May at the beautiful Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA, where they’ll incorporate Jewish and Japanese traditions in a fun and casual celebration. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited to spend more time with this pair documenting their love.
