At the start of this year, I had a goal to visit a new state and a lot of frequent flyer miles. Last weekend, Ian and I unplugged, hopped on a plane, and spent a fabulous weekend in Chicago. For two people who spend so much time in front of laptops, it was good to disconnect and reconnect.
Chicago lived up to its windy city moniker, and we lucked out with some unseasonably warm weather. We visited the Art Institute of Chicago (my pick), the Museum of Science and Industry (Ian’s pick), walked around Millennium Park and out onto the Navy Pier, saw a show at Second City (hilarious, but how could it not be?), and ate some delicious meals. Seriously, if you’re a foodie, the Purple Pig alone is worth a trip to Chicago.
