Joydita and Simon wanted the focus of their wedding to be on their guests. With so many traveling from a distance to celebrate with them, they chose to marry in the picturesque town of Concord, the epitome of New England charm in the fall. After getting ready at the Concord Colonial Inn, Joydita and Simon each shared a toast with their attendants before leaving for the ceremony at the Old Manse. Their ceremony was officiated by the friend who had introduced them, and included music performed by friends and family, a reading by Simon’s grandfather, and a Hindu rite led by Joydita’s aunt, in which Joydita and Simon took their first seven steps together and spoke of their aspirations for their life together. Following the ceremony, guests mingled over hot apple cider and cider donuts, before heading to the Scout House for the reception. The reception had a relaxed dinner-party feel, as guests enjoyed a local and seasonal meal, served family style by the wonderful team at Saltbox Farm. After dinner, Joydita changed into a bridal sari and then opened the dance floor with Simon, encouraging all present to get up and dance with them.
Very nice wedding portfolio, and a wonderful memory to have.
