Elizabeth and Eli had a colorful and fun-filled winter wedding on an unseasonably warm January day. They got ready at Hotel Marlowe, and we used the grand staircase for their first look photos. Elizabeth had majored in art history, and loves the architecture on the MIT campus, so they chose to have their ceremony in the Eero Saarinen-designed MIT chapel and their reception in the expansive and dramatic Morss Memorial Hall. Elizabeth and Eli crafted a truly personal ceremony, with Eli’s father officiating, and members of the wedding party offering blessings that ranged from heartfelt to humorous. Their young cousins even cited the synthesis of their names in a proper celebrity couple name – Elijabeth – as proof of their being meant to be together. During the toasts, we heard about how Eli and Elizabeth share an adventurous spirit and zest for life. Elizabeth and Eli then put that on display by using their first dance to get everyone up from their seats, and proceeded to dance the night away. It was clear throughout the day how much these two delight in each other, and the genuine joy they find in their family and friends.
Special thanks to Lolo Event Design for the beautiful design and coordination of the wedding, and to my second photographer for the day Emily Sterne.
