Maggie and Tom aren’t the type to relish being the center of attention, but it was clear on their wedding day that they are part of very strong and large communities of family and friends.
After getting ready at the Endicott Estate, they couldn’t stop talking during their first look, exchanging endearments and sharing news of their day so far. With the dry summer, we were happy to find some color near the greenhouse for their portraits. As guests started to arrive, we headed into the house and made a few individual portraits using the beautiful window light.
The late afternoon ceremony was led by Tom’s college advisor, and a friend injected a little humor during the Prayer of the Faithful, calling for prayers for lawyers (Maggie) and auditors (Tom).
Afterwards, Tom, Maggie and their guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the back deck. As the evening sun waned, their fathers delivered heartfelt and humorous toasts. To the delight of the guests, Tom’s father’s toast was delivered entirely in rhyming verse.
Maggie and Tom share a love for live music, and an awesome band was a high priority for them. Ripcord delivered a pair of high-energy sets, packing the dance floor all night, ending with the appropriately named All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem.
