For both Leigh and David’s engagement session and wedding, we braved threatening weather. We drove through the rain to get to their engagement session at Arnold Arboretum in the spring, and intermittent thunderstorms were rolling through on their wedding day. I passed in and out of showers to get to to Leigh’s parents’ home, where she and David were getting ready. But the sunshine can seem extra brilliant after the rain, and we lucked out with beautiful light for their portraits. Leigh was radiant in a simple gown from Anthropologie and a necklace made by her mother. I loved the way Leigh and David lit up around each other. We then headed to the Spencer Brook Reservation, where they had an intimate wedding ceremony in a clearing in the woods, circled by family and friends, pride clearly visible on their parents’ faces. Thunder rumbled in the background as they exchanged their vows, and they made their ceremony getaway in a convertible as the skies opened up.
