Caitlin and Tom live in New York City and met through mutual friends. They got engaged last February and knew they didn’t want a long engagement. They decided on a late autumn Cape Cod wedding at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth, where Caitlin spent her summers growing up. It was also a lovely spot to visit for their guests from NYC and Tom’s family from Texas.
They chose to do a first look and portraits before the ceremony, using picturesque Nobska point. I loved the muted colors and soft light.
Their ceremony was led by a friend, who at the start encouraged Tom and Caitlin and all their guests to take a deep breath to be fully present in the moment. They also incorporated a ring-warming ritual, having their parents and wedding party warm their rings with their breath, directly before the exchange.
Caitlin and Tom were most excited to have everyone together, dancing and celebrating. And the party did not disappoint. The Jon Bates Band had everyone out of their seats and up on their feet.
