A few weeks ago, I traveled just around the corner from my home to photograph Maddy and Matt’s beautiful wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Royall House in Medford. This historic site doesn’t normally host events, but Maddy had special permission because she volunteers on their board. I loved how she combined a painting of the grounds with more modern elements to create their invitation suite.
These two are so lovely to be around, and just light up in each other’s presence. They were so excited at the end of the ceremony that they nearly kissed before the justice of the peace announced them as husband and wife.
The party continued at Puritan & Company in Cambridge where guests mingled in the warm ambience of a modern farmhouse. Everyone enjoyed craft cocktails, a raw bar, and a seasonally-inspired menu. Toasts, pie (from my favorite bakery Petsi Pies) and a bouquet toss (with a pre-selected recipient, I suspect) rounded out the evening.
