When I first talked with Rebecca and Craig last summer about their wedding, they told me about the challenges of finding a date (Craig’s in grad school, and with family who run businesses on Cape Cod, summer is not the best time) and how to compromise between a courthouse wedding and a more traditional event. The eventually chose a date in March, and an intimate gathering of their closest friends and family at the Mooo wine cellar – a unique and historic venue known for its delicious food and wine.
Rebecca got ready in a lovely suite at the XV Beacon Hotel, and I just loved the reaction of her friends when they first saw her all done up in her lace BHLDN wedding gown. Weather is always so unpredictable in New England, and while we hoped for spring-like weather on their wedding date, winter still had us in its grasp. Because of the cold, we did their portraits inside the hotel and wine cellar.
Craig and Rebecca greeted their guests and enjoyed cocktail hour before their ceremony. Rebecca’s stepbrother led the emotional ceremony with aplomb – imbuing the service with love, humor and sound advice. Dances and toasts followed, and then they sat down for a delicious multi-course meal, with wines they’d carefully selected to complement.
