This is a wedding that is near and dear to my heart. Pauline was my office-mate back when I was working in DC, so forgive me if I gush over her just a bit. She is warm, funny, smart, and has the ability to put anyone at ease. She’s the kind of girl that can light up a room with her smile, and I adore her. She and George have been together since their freshman year at the University of Michigan. They’ve been through a lot these two, and I was so happy to celebrate their wedding with them. There were lots of personal touches throughout the day; as a nod to Pauline’s Nashville roots there was bluegrass music during the ceremony and barbeque for dinner, George’s brother officiated the ceremony, and they served the same kind of champagne for the toasts as at George’s parents’ wedding. And once all the formalities were over, boy did they dance.
