You don’t always have to choose between an intimate wedding and a big party. Libby and Sean chose to do both.
In the morning, they wed at the beautiful Cambridge City Hall, with only their immediate families as witnesses. It’s always such an honor to be included in such intimate celebrations, and it makes my heart full to be with people who feel so deeply. The magnitude of the day was visible as Libby teared up on her arrival, greeting her dad, taking portraits with Sean, and while exchanging vows. The last ensured there wasn’t a pair of dry eyes among their guests.
In the late afternoon, we reconvened for portraits and their reception at the Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill. We took full advantage of the sunny day for lots of outdoor portraits. Their reception featured a multi-course dinner, with toasts, games and a re-telling of their love story between courses. Then Nora of DJour Entertainment took over mixing current and classic dance hits with Portuguese songs (a nod to Sean’s family heritage) to keep the dance floor grooving.
