I am so excited to share Meg and Andy’s wedding with you today! I know I wrote this for their engagement session, but they really are the sweetest couple. Quiet, genuine, kind, and intently focused on each other. They planned a beautiful and thoughtful celebration at the New Hampshire Seacoast Science Center, a place that Meg has loved visiting since a child, and where she and Andy enjoy kayaking and bird-watching.
The morning of their wedding dawned clear and hot and bright. It started quietly. Meg got ready with her bridal brigade at a lovely rental home in the heart of Portsmouth. Andy and his best man Ara, in town for the weekend from Scandinavia, got ready at their apartment down the street. The ceremony included many personal stories and readings by family and friends of some of their favorite poems, including one of my personal favorites The Owl and the Pussycat. Following the ceremony, an unexpected guest – a huge thunderstorm – decided to crash the party. The power went out briefly, but the celebrations continued. The rain moved off and their day was graced with brightest rainbow I have ever seen. Following the formalities, it was time to dance, and boy did they dance!

Only you could make unphotogenic Andy & me look so good :) You did such a wonderful job of catching the “spirit” of the day – which doesn’t surprise me, knowing how truly gifted AND hardworking you are – but it is such a delight to be able to look at these and feel the same joy and love I felt on my wedding day all over again. So many of the guests at Meg and Andy’s wedding have shared comments with us along the lines of “the photographer was amazing” “the photographer was everywhere” “we can’t wait to see the photos…the photographer was fantastic” and what was clearly obvious during the wedding (your talent)is proven in your photos. The fact that you are an artist, and that you love what you do, is so evident in these preview photos of Meg and Andy’s wedding. They are simply beautiful and fun!
