Rebecca and Mike were married on a sun-kissed, Sunday afternoon in September. When Mike saw Rebecca before the ceremony, I heard a whispered “you are so beautiful,” and I was reminded how lucky I am as a wedding photographer to bear witness to such intimate moments of love and tenderness. The ceremony was led by a friend of Mike’s, and in its course, Rebecca gave Mike her great grandfather’s wedding ring. Details like these, that are a testament of family history and connection, always make me smile.
Eager to share in their joy, Rebecca and Mike invited all their guests to join them for their first dance after they were introduced into their reception at the Wychmere Beach Club. And as the daylight faded to create a seashell-pink sky, Rebecca and Mike stole away for a last few portraits and moments of quiet before the party kicked into high gear.
