It’s funny how sometimes all the life changes come all at once. Plan a wedding, buy a house, and launch your start-up all in one year? That’s what these two are doing. So we took a pause from all that go go go and slowed it down for their engagement session.
I met up with Tom and Ellen at their new (as in just moved in a week ago) home on a recent summer evening. After meeting in Seattle, moving to New York City together, and then on to Cambridge, Somerville is now home. They told me how this was their first place with stairs, so they’d been spending time there teaching their kitty Gutenberg how to go up and down. We then strolled to nearby Powderhouse Square. I loved seeing how these laugh with and lean into each other.
Tom and Ellen also love to travel. On a trip to the Berkshires last fall, they visited MASS MoCA and immediately fell in love with the space and the art. They’ll be heading back this weekend, bringing along friends and family, to celebrate their wedding.
If you like what you see, and are interested in having me photograph your Somerville engagement session, please get in touch.
