The year’s not quite over, but what a challenging, growing, good year it was, and I am so grateful. Here are some highlights, in no particular order:
+ I took a photo a day for more than 100 days, and worked on my off-camera lighting skills.
+ I traveled! Ian and I spent a weekend in Maine for our first wedding anniversary, and another weekend in Chicago just because.
+ I shot along-side some very talented photographers, including Emily Sterne and Melissa Robotti.
+ I attended the absolutely amazing, mind-blowing, consuming (in a good way), Roots Workshop, where I got to learn from some of the best wedding photojournalists in the country.
+ I spent time with family in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
+ I officially opened the doors to my photography business.
+ I photographed Bill Clinton.
+ I wrote a wedding grad post and became a sponsor for A Practical Wedding!
+ I spent time with my three best friends from college, getting together for a combined bachelorette party and wedding weekend.
+ I volunteered my time and photography skills for the Fresh Ink Theater Company, and for Jawan.
+ I traveled to DC to shoot two weddings: Meredith and Dave, and Mahvash and Shorit (come back in January to see their post!)
+ Ian and I hosted a holiday party – our first party as a married couple.
What a wonderful journey through your year! Photographed so beautifully. So happy to have shared some great moments with you in 2011.
So wonderful to have crossed paths in 2011, Kelly!! Cheers for an equally adventuresome 2012!
Thanks for hosting a fun holiday party! :)
Your photos are STUNNING. Just gorgeous. Whenever I need professional head shots taken (sometime in the next three years?) or recent portraits or anything photography related, I’m going to YOU.
Good luck with 2012, and I can’t wait to see your business blossom. :)
That pic of Mahvash is stunning!
