It was such a joy to be present for Desiree and Daniel’s wedding. We hadn’t met in person before their wedding day, but I was immediately taken in by their warmth and kindness. These two sweethearts exude an energy that draws people to them, and their big smiles and obvious excitement set the tone for the entire day.
Desiree told me she was a bit of a daddy’s girl, and I loved witnessing their close embrace before entering the church. During the service, we heard about how their paths had crossed growing up in military families, but it was not until they found themselves in training together that they became friends and then more than friends.
I appreciate seeing how couples incorporate different traditions that are important to them in their celebrations. Desiree and Daniel had mariachis as a surprise for their guests, especially Desiree’s grandfather, waiting outside of the church. And during their reception at The Villa at Ridder Country Club, Daniel and his fraternity brothers circled Desiree for a special hymn.
Once the formalities were concluded, the dj played a mix of reggae, reggaeton, salsa and soul, packing the dance floor with guests young and old.
