In early November I met up with Cassandra and Dhruva in Lincoln to make some portraits. Cassandra is a friend, and Dhruva had contacted me about the portrait session as a birthday present. These two have been married for seven years. They’ve gone from college sweethearts in the midwest, to early careers in Washington DC, to graduate school in Boston. Next up, they’ll be headed to India, where Dhruva recently accepted a position at a think tank. It was such a treat to photograph friends, to capture their sweet smiles, and to document a little of their time in the Boston area. I also loved how the colors they chose complemented the late fall landscape. The soft, overcast light that day was proof of why November can be a great time for portraits.
