Photograph from the heart. It sounds like simple advice, but for an over-thinker like me, I spent a long time pondering this recently. And then I realized, when I’m at a wedding, and photographing not just the brides and grooms, but searching out smiles and moments shared by parents, grandparents, guests, that is me photographing from the heart.

Does your family mean the world to you? Mine does. And with my images I want to show you just how amazing your family and community are – how emotional, tender, vibrant, and joyful they are as they celebrate with you.

In honor of mother’s day this weekend, here’s a photographic celebration of moms at weddings, full of hugs, a few happy tears, and many smiles.
