As Boston grows greener, and the days grow longer and warmer, wedding season kicks into gear. While the past months have been devoted to getting to know new couples and hearing their stories, the months ahead will involve witnessing their stories as they unfold. From May through early November, I’ll be criss-crossing New England, documenting couples as they make promises for their futures, and creating images with warmth, truth, and beauty.

This year, I’m excited to return to a number of unique Massachusetts wedding venues, including the Barn at Crane Estate, Duxbury Bay Maritime School, Willowdale Estate, Fruitlands Museum, Codman Estate and Lyman Estate.

I’m also thrilled to photograph weddings at a number of new-to-me venues, including Mount Hope Farm, the Liberty Hotel, Harvard Faculty Club, Hyatt Harborside Boston, MASS MoCA, Hildene, August Moon, Fulchino Vineyard, Concord Colonial Inn, and at private residences on the Cape, Martha’s Vineyard and in Narragansett. I love the diversity of locations, from elegant country estates to the bustle of the city, from rustic barns to breezy venues by the water.

Of course, beautiful locations are just one of the many things that excite me at a wedding. What truly inspires me are the indelible moments that I witness. The joyful faces, big hugs, happy tears, shared glances, tender kisses, and exuberant celebrations. These days that are so filled with emotion and leave me footsore and heart-happy. I am full of anticipation for these moments to unfold in front of my lens!
